Working to restore our village,
provide humanitarian assistance and promote Nepal to the world.

According to Central Bureau of Statistics, the total population of Female is 16,457 out of 32,522 dwelling inside the Changunarayan municipality, which includes several surrounding villages. The main occupation of the people is subsistence farming. Although several women’s development organizations have launched programmes for women’s empowerment, INGOs come and go usually leaving unfinished business in their wake.We are here to assist and stay. We are willing to work with any organization worldwide in which we all would benefit in helping the human kind.

These organizations(INGO) have invested huge amounts of money for women in Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and health sectors, but due to the lack of supervision, monitoring and marketplace it doesn’t last for long. Equipment is generally abandoned with the women still needing training as the INGO returns to their home country. Abject poverty is still more than 30% in Changunarayan, having an adverse effect on the Health of children, pregnant women and families. According to the District Health office children below 5 years of age are at risk from such health challenges as malnutrition, dehydration, etc. The devastating twin earthquakes on April 25 and May 12 have substantially worsened the economic condition of local people.

We are proud to announce that we are seeking funding for a ‘women’s carpet initiative’ here in Changunarayan. We hope to first support the women who have been through so much in the past year, and secondly to support the economy of Nepal. When products are exported it creates a favorable economic condition, so we will be exporting fine, hand-woven, wool carpets and starting a carpet learning center. Such an enterprise can create a better than average income for the women and give them the ability to support their families.

We are working on our website, http://NepalWebMall.com but have not found the right person to put it together. This will be the platform where we will place our carpets, as well as other Nepali handcrafts. For now, we have an affiliate site that helps us with administration costs where we offer hand painted, Tibetan style thangka paintings and hand carved masks, http:TraditionalArtofNepal.com. We can also find a handcrafted piece for you through this site. Just let us know what you are looking for and we will search the streets of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Patan and send you updates and pictures of our finds. It’s really a lot of fun to shop in Kathmandu. It’s like a treasure hunt.As you can see by doing a google search for Traditional Art of Nepal, we haven’t had a complaint. We also have a competitive price guarantee; you will be surprised at the prices we can provide for you. If you would like a copy of our grant proposal please let us know. We are looking for funding sources.

Your small help matters a lot!!
